Haberdashery was commissioned by international art consultancy Union Art + Design to create a bespoke sculpture for the new Conrad Chicago Hotel.

The hotel’s sky lobby is home to Inoca, a composition of some 1300 English fine bone china leaves which descend from the glass ceiling above. The sculptural form is, at a glance, designed to appear completely organic, an ode to the Windy City, referencing leaves caught in a short breeze. As guests move around and beneath the sculpture, the natural aesthetic transitions towards one of structure reflecting the glass above and celebrating its location adjacent to the Magnificent Mile, in the heart of Chicago city.
