Wayfinding Lightbox

During 2009 we were commissioned by the British Film Institute to survey the visitor wayfinding experience at their South Bank facility.  Our findings lead directly into the design and installation of an abstracted video light installation challenging the viewer's recognition of classic cinematic scenes taken from each new upcoming film season, and edited into abstracted pieces of motion art. The design research and solution re-affirm the BFI brand identity as the premier institute of cinematic arts and creates a strong visual link between the main entrance and the riverside entrance, uniting the space as one cohesive location. The sculpture has now been handed back for decommissioning having outlasted its original 2 year life expectancy three fold
